OUR COUNCILS
SUPERIOR TRAINING
Our organization leads the way in training and educating the next generation of construction professionals. The UBC’s International Training Center, located in Las Vegas, Nevada has developed unrivaled skills training and leadership programs that teach thousands of hard-working men and women the skills they need to provide a good living for their families and make their employers productive and profitable in a highly competitive industry. We work hand in hand with contractors and end users to update our curriculum to respond to shifting conditions on the job site.

PARTNERSHIP

At the Eastern District, we are committed to working with our industry partners to ensure they have a strong competitive advantage in the construction industry. This collaboration relies not only on providing them with the highest skilled workforce but also working with regional developers and contractors to expand our market share. We facilitate regular labor management conferences and committee meetings to discuss issues and create solutions that will benefit members and contractors alike.
Though we work hard to represent our members, secure family-sustaining wages, and provide a lifelong career path, we understand we are not in this alone. Our training and education programs also ensure that we’re doing everything we can to provide employers with the tools they need to identify and win bids. When our employers win more work, our members can provide a better life for themselves and their families.
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Eastern District is a region made up of three Regional Carpenter Councils that power the construction industry with highly skilled craftspeople who understand all aspects of the trade – superior craftsmanship, job site leadership, and teamwork. Our Councils include the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, the New York City District Council of Carpenters, and the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council. Their combined jurisdiction includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC, and the ten northernmost counties of North Carolina.
