STRONG TEAMS PAVE THE WAY FOR A SMOOTH TRANSITION
Since June, the ESTs and staff of Keystone + Mountain + Lakes Regional Council, New England Regional Council, and the Eastern Millwright Regional Council have successfully tackled the task of welcoming their new members and making sure their work opportunities continue undisturbed.
At the outset, each Council completed a thorough analysis of programs and departmental resources and quickly began the work of streamlining services for members.
The benefits of the merger are already being felt. Councils were able to expand valuable programs including centralized dispatch (MIX20/20) and Member Union Participation (MUP) to members. Team Room best practices were shared and improved throughout the region. Most importantly, resources and staff were reorganized around existing markets for better efficiency.
Vice President Capelli said, "Each EST had strong teams in place that were ready to take on the responsibility of creating a smooth transition for the membership."
